An Invitation for You
By Becky Hunter, August 16, 2007
As summer blazes toward the fall, all of our calendars fill quickly so it’s time for me to ask you an important question.
Are you busy Wednesday afternoon, January 30? What about the afternoon of Thursday, January 31? If you don’t have a pressing commitment I hope you will join me as, Vonette Bright, co-founder of Campus Crusade for Christ (www.ccci.org); Kay Arthur, founder of Precept Ministry (www.precept.org); Carol Kent, founder of Speak UP With Confidence (www.carolkent.org); and Devi Titus, founder of Mentoring Mansion (www.mentoringmansion.com) offer six hours of incredibly valuable input specifically for pastors’ wives! And that’s only one incredible aspect of what the North American Congress in Orlando will be offering.
Every now and then it seems like all of us who love Jesus take a big step forward together for Kingdom purposes. I believe we are going to see one of those significant “together” steps January 29 to February 1, 2008 when Global Networks hosts a four-day Congress at Northland Church in Longwood, Florida where my husband serves as senior pastor.
Wives who come are invited to attend informative and inspiring sessions with their husbands to build a joint passion and understanding required to work together to reach the world with the Good News of the Gospel. And then Global Pastors’ Wives Network offers us the added blessing of learning from, and sharing with, the women I’ve mentioned.
Learn more and register now by visiting www.call2all.org. (A registration fee of $98 per person or $148 per couple applies.)
I hope we get to spend those days together, but even if you won’t be able to make it, you will be prayed for during one of our sessions…just like you are prayed for every weekend by pastors’ wives around the globe who remember you when they sit down for worship in their churches. Join us in praying for those who share this calling on our lives. May we love God well and serve Him honorably alongside our husbands.
