North American Global Congress
By Becky Hunter, June 8, 2007
I hope you are having a great week and are looking forward to the opportunities this weekend that God will bring your way as you worship and serve with your church family. There are many Sundays that I sit down in worship, pray for you, and think how wonderful it would be if you were sitting right beside me. It would be great to be with you!
A major event is happening in January of 2008 that makes my fleeting thought a real possibility! The Global Pastors Wives Network (GPWN) is a partner organization to Global Pastors Network (GPN). GPWN fully supports GPN’s goals to work together to fulfill the Great Commission. Tuesday, January 29, - Friday, February 01, 2008, GPN is sponsoring a Global Congress—calling together pastors, evangelists and their wives to synergize efforts to reach the unreached. It will be held at Northland Church where my husband serves as a pastor, in Longwood, Florida, a suburb of Orlando. Leaders from America, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean: Mark Anderson, President of Global Pastors Network; Loren Cunningham, Founder of Youth With A Mission; and Steve Douglass, President of Campus Crusade are among the three thousand expected attendees. Wives are invited to attend with their husbands and during two of the breakouts there will be special sessions available exclusively for pastors’ wives.
You are invited to be part of this historic event. Visit www.call2all.org to get more details and to register for $98 per person or $148 for a couple. Due to limited space the registration fee is non-refundable. This Congress is to strategize and to plan in all areas of mission for the next 25 years in North America and all around the world. Our God and our clergy husbands deserve our full engagement in the challenge of Christ, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to all creation.” Mark 16:15.
I hope you will visit www.call2all.org and make plans to come to the Congress. The time you invest in it will boost your enthusiasm for the mission of Christ, your passion for the Gospel message, and quite likely your partnership with your husband, as you strategize how to share the Good News of Jesus with those who have not yet heard.
Whether or not you can make the Congress, thank you for all you do, with what you’ve got, right where you are every single day. God is honored by our faithful witness in our marriages, families, churches and communities. Keep looking at Jesus! He’s got everything we need to keep going in the right direction.
